HISTORY
The New Brighton Lions is celebrating their 75th Anniversary in 2025.
Founded in October of 1950, the original Club consisted of 41 Charter Members. The sponsoring Lions Club was the Osseo Lions Club. On Monday, November 27, 1950, the New Brighton Lions celebrated their beginnings at a Charter Night Banquest at the Midway Club in St. Paul. Lion dignitaries were in attendance including Lion International Director Clifford I. Thoma and District Governor Milton Logan. The first New Brighton Lions Club President, J. S. McDonald accepted the Charter, and the New Brighton Lions officially became a club.
